About Quilters on the Rock

Quilters On The Rock (QOR) is a nonprofit quilt guild founded in 1981. The first meeting drew 22 passionate quilters. Today, QOR has grown to a vibrant community of over 100 members from both on and off Whidbey Island. The guild’s mission has remained the same all along: to share and encourage the love of quilting.

We meet on the third Monday of each month. Meetings typically feature a presentation from a visiting or member quilter and an inspiring “show and tell” of our members’ latest creations. The guild also offers workshops and programs from local quilting experts and national instructors, which provide members with opportunities to learn new techniques and refine existing skills.

QOR is deeply committed to giving back. Through our Community Quilts program, we have donated over 700 quilts to individuals in need across Whidbey Island. Beyond our local outreach, we also contribute to the American Hero Quilts project and since 2005 have sent over 400 quilts to wounded military personnel.

Quilters On The Rock is more than a guild—it’s a place where creativity, learning, and generosity come together, stitch by stitch.
